Program Details: 

The 5th/6th Grade Girls Lacrosse Program is anticipated to start practices the week of  March 14th (TBD depending on weather and also when Chatham basketball finishes) and will conclude on June 5 with the Fishawack Festival hosted by the 7th grade class for the Cougar Lacrosse Club community. 

5/6th Grade practices/games will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday.  With some games on Sat. 

Practices will be primarily at LUM, starting at 5:45pm and running to 7:15/7:30pm (March and early April), until the days get longer (mid-April thru June), and we will then move back practices to 6:00pm to 8:00pm. 

We will have two balanced teams. Please do not request specific teams or coaches.

Games vs other towns and weekend tournaments start the week of April 1st, and will be 12 v 12 including goalies with modified checking. Games will be mostly on weekdays (MWF) with some weekends. The full schedule will be shared in advance of the season. Generally speaking, there will be very light or no commitments over Spring Break (April 9 to April 18) and Memorial Day (May 26-30). 

There will be weekend game/play day commitments, most likey 2 that may fall on the following weekends: 

  • Saturday, April 2 Ridgewood Play Day
  • Saturday April 30 Summit 50th Play Day
  • Saturday, May 14 - Moorestown Lax Festival (TBD)
  • Sunday May 15 - Jersey Jamboree (TBD)
  • Saturday, May 21 - Cranford Castaway (TBD)
  • Saturday, June 4 Romp in the Swamp Tournament (TBD)
  • Sunday June 5 Fishawack (All Players)

What is needed?  A stick, goggles and mouthguard.  Please note the mouthguard cannot be clear. 

Uniforms -Information will be communicated closer to March. The program will have pinnies and shorts for the game uniform this year

Coaches - If you are interested in volunteering, please email grade level leads directly with your interest and availability. 

(PLEASE NOTE - do not get your daughter's ears pierced prior to the season, but wait until after the season has ended. No jewelry is allowed for safety purposes.)
